Executive board operation

  1. The Executive Board of ACTA VŠFS is an advisory body of the journal. The members of the ACTA VŠFS Executive Board are the Editor-in-Chief and the Executive Editor. The other members of the Board are selected and appointed based on their expertise and willingness to participate in editorial work activities.
  2. The members of the ACTA VŠFS Executive Board assess the quality of the submitted papers. They comment on the articles according to their research specialization and interest. Selected comments of the Executive Board members may be communicated (anonymously, via the editorial office) to the author as suggestions for refinement or justification of the editor’s decision.
  3. Based on the opinion of the Executive Board members and the editors' own editorial assessment, the Editor-in-Chief or Executive Editor either sends the article to the reviewers or rejects it and informs the author of the article. In the case of an initial positive evaluation of the article, the Executive Board may recommend internal and external reviewers. If the conclusion of the evaluation is not clear, the Executive Board may vote on how to proceed, if appropriate. It may do the same if the reviewers' opinions do not provide clear guidance for acceptance or rejection of the article.
  4. A member of the ACTA VŠFS Executive Board may also serve as a reviewer of an article if it suits his or her area of expertise or may wish to organize the entire review process for a given article, including the settlement of the reviewers' comments with the author in relation to a given scientific issue.
  5. The Executive Board of ACTA VŠFS participates in the framework of content of each issue and communicates as needed about the received articles, also with Editorial Scientific Board. The Executive Board also contributes to the provision of journal’s editorials and other editorial materials.
